Yu-gi-oh cards?

I'm trying to learn about yu-gi-oh 2 teach my 6 yr old son how 2 play it properly. I have the beginners book but it doesn;t tell me how many cards to start off with in my deck. Also, I bought him lots of cards %26amp; they're all mixed up. Doed this matter %26amp; if so, how do I seperate them back 2 the original packs?

Yu-gi-oh cards?
The minimum cards in a deck is 40 cards and try to have the deck half monsters and half spell and trap cards
Reply:the minimum is 40cards but you should have more. it doesnt mater if they are mixed up you have to shuffle them anyway.
Reply:The rulebooks are a good thing to explain how to play but the best way is to find a few people that duel around you as well and ask them to help you out there.....most of us duelists are actually quite nice and are normally quite willing to help out fellow duelists who are looking to figure out the problems they are having. The minimum amount of cards in a deck is 40 but other then that there is no limit to how many cards can be in a deck.....but there is a problem with having more cards in a deck....it is harder to get the cards you really need to help you out in a duel. The most you normally hear of someone using in a duel is 60. You should have it to about 50/50 of monsters and spell/traps. So, if I am running a deck of 60 I am running 30 monster with most of those being 4 and under level and some 5 or higher level and then running 30 spell and trap....normally 15 of each. If you have those cards mixed up the only thing that might matter was if you bought starter decks in the first place. You might want them seperate if you need two decks to duel but other then that the only reason to worry about that is if you want them organized. The things you need to worry about that then are the letters on the right side just under the picture. They would be something like LOB, MRD, MRL, LOD, POTD.....and then normally a dash and a few numbers.....those are the packs you orginally got them from.....if you have any questions in regards to this just email at jprepka@yahoo.com
Reply:you have to have atleast 40 cards in your deck. you can have many more then that but then its hard to pick up the cards you need during a match and no it doesnt really matter if they are all mixed. let your son play about with them and let him make his decisions about what cards to put into his deck. you can guide him...
Reply:Go to http://www.upperdeckentertainment.com/yu... and read the official rulebook. It explains the rules of Yu-Gi-Oh in more detail than the beginners guide. I suggest you buy 2 Structure Decks instead of using Starter decks. Spellcaster's Judgement and Warrior's Triumph are both good decks and have a variety of different card types. They're also exactly 40 cards and they come with pretty decent tip guides. For rules on specific cards go to http://www.netrep.net and type in the card's name. Tip: Find a store where Yu-Gi-Oh is played near you and ask the duelists for tips and advice. Most duelists are nice people who will be delighted to help you and your son learn to play correctly.
Reply:40 cards is the minemen and 60 cards are the most you can have also you need to bace youer deck around 1 'ta 3 cards to be vary good at it yet you need to have comboes in the card game yugioh.
Reply:Here's all you need to know to your question. First off is that ones deck has to be at least 40 cards to 60 cards. And the second question is that nearly every card in the game has three or four letters below the picture of the card. It says any of these for example:LOB, MRD, MRL, SRL, PVS, LON, LOD, PGD, MFC, DCR, FET, SOD, TLM. The organization of the packs actually don't matter unless you want to be organized. To know anymore information or still confused e-mail me at my atekken5@yahoo.com, and I hope I helped out on want you wanted to know.
Reply:it doesn't matter if all the cards are mixed up, thats how they're meant to be.
Reply:Try here..
