How do you tell real Yu-Gi-Oh cards from fake ones?

Langauge - Official Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARDS are only printed in the following languages: English, Spanish, French, French-Canadian, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Japanese. Cards in languages other than this (most commonly Chinese) are fakes.

Hologram - The hologram located in the lower right-hand corner should have the Eye of Anubis located on it. The foil that is used can sometimes be scraped off with a fingernail or is put on the card incorrectly. Fakes often have a blank/incorrect hologram or improperly placed hologram.

Coating - The coating on the cards that Upper Deck utilizes is not unlike that of a deck of playing cards. Counterfeits often use "shiny" coating with many layers applied to make the card "feel" thicker.

Card Back - The back of the card should have Konami in the top left hand corner and Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME located in the bottom right-hand corner. No markings whatsoever are a good indication of counterfeit. If the word "Konami" is mispelled the card is counterfeit.

Packaging - if the packaging has any of the following characteristics it is likely counterfeit: faded colors, blurry/illegible writing, or a flat/smooth anti-counterfeit seal.
