I was wanting to know, in the yu-gi oh card game, how does the card relinquished work?

Can anyone tell me how the yu-gi oh card relinquished work? I wanted to know exactly how to play this card when dueling. If you destroy the monster on relinquished and you attack with another card, does your opponent lose life points? Do you both lose life points? Any information on this would be helpful, thanks.

the card's efect sez ones per tern you can take one face-up monster on youer oponet's side of the fild wen you do this the attak and defens of all the monsters that are treated like equip cards becoms the same attak and defens that relinquished has

and wen relinquished is destrod you can destroy an equip card insted at youer chose
Reply:well this card can take on the attack or defence of one opponents monster on the field and it keeps takeing attack and defence the more you attack it well I hope I help goodbye
Reply:In my experience, (in a PC game) I successfully ritual summoned "Relinquished" via "Black Illusion Ritual." I activated its effect and I got Kaiba's "Vorse Raider" and he attacked it with Blue Eyes, so Vorse Raider was destroyed, not Relinquished. (probably its effect is active once per turn)

(Combo, just in case you need to know something: Add "Sonic Bird" and "Senju of the Thousand Hands" to your deck so ritual summoning can be easier. One card gets the ritual spell and one gets the ritual monster.)
Reply:it gets the moster card of your opponent, and if he gets damaged the card he got from your opponent dies. and he can use the attack power of the card it got. hope it helps
